These are the different volunteer teams you can join:
Registration

The first place for the Athletes to go is the registration. There they check-in for the race and pick up their starting-package. At the registration your help is already needed a few days before the actual race takes place.
SWIM
– Reinhard Biermayr –

It´s the first step of an becoming ironman to take the 1.9 km swim and it´s your opportunity to see the unforgettable moment for both, athlets and spectators, when more than 2.000 athletes will start. Or you can also help them when they leave the water.
Transition Area
In the transition area the athlets are changing from one discipline to the other. This is happening very quick and a helping hand is very welcome.
Transition Area Check-in/Check-out

You are responsible for competition equipment and you should have an organization talent because 2.000 bikes and transition bags are delivered and picked up there.

Through your help at the aid stations athletes can fill up with energy. Here you are providing them with food and drinks. Specially at run aid stations kids are more than welcome.

Be there. Be one of the first. Live. In the finish area and overhand the finisher medals to the athletes.

Transition bags

Before the athletes leave to take a shower they need their transition bags back. Be a help to sort them and hand them out.
Massage team

In the massage team you are supporting the athlete’s regeneration after a hard and long day. The finishers are always looking forward to your competent help.
Medical support

Your help in the medical team of the Austria IRONMAN 70.3 ensures the medical care of the athletes. In cooperation with the Austrian “Samariterbund” and the ambulance your help could be necessary on the race course. Here we are looking for doctors and medical staff.
Media team

In the media team you are supporting jounalists. You are taking care for a global coverage of the race and the happenings around the event. Image and size of an event is meassured on its medial response. Besides competent information, friendly hospitality for the journalists are important. Speaking foreign languages is a plus but not a must.
InfoPoint team

The InfoPoint team is the single point of contact for the athlets at the race weekend. Questions and answeres are your daily work. You make are helping the athletes with getting an orientation, be well prepared for the race and give them the latest news. Also spectators are going to have a lot of questions about the race. Speaking foreign languages is a plus but not a must.
V.I.P.

The V.I.P.s of the Austria IRONMAN 70.3 must be accredited and accompanied the whole day.
IronKids

On saturday the 19th of May 2012 the Kids will also show their sportiveness as well. To offer them a similar atmosphere as the “real” Athletes, here are also a lot of Volunteers needful. Course safety, transition area and finish line are some of the teams you can joint at the IronKIDS Race on Saturday.

Bevor the Athletes are having their shower after the exhausing race, they picking up their street ware bags. At the street ware team you´re helping to sort the bags and give them back to the athletes.
depot master

Almost one before race week the materials which are essential for the race are delivered. The store team is responsible for the coordination of the transport, as well as the storage and the delivery of the materials to the different places (transition area, swim start…) for the set up crew. After the race you are responsible that all the material is brought back to the depot and picked up from the different suppliers.

Relaxing Zone

After the athletes have crossed the finish line and got their medal the volunteers at the relaxing zone take care of them. Palatschinken, Fruits, Pizza and drinks are prepared and handed out.
