01. REGISTRATION
The registration takes place at the city centre of St. Pölten – at the town Hall.
Opening hours:
Thursday, 17th May 2012 08.30am – 6pm
Friday, 18th May 2012 1.00pm – 5.00pm
Saturday, 19th May 2012 9.00am – 2.00pm
For registration please bring along:
- A valid photo identification
- The Austria IRONMAN 70.3 St. Pölten will have a new timing system. You will get a chip at the registration desk.
- Your year licence. If you don’t have one, you will have to apply for a one-day licence which costs €6.
Registration process:
Make sure you know your start number before coming to the reception at the IRONMAN 70.3 City. You’ll have to check and confirm your data. Proceed to the appropriate counter (organized according to start numbers) where you’ll be given your starter package and your athlete’s band.
Please mind that it is very important for the team ranking that all members of the team have spelled the name of the team in the same way!
Your starter package includes:
2 start numbers, 1 bike number, 1 helmet number, 1 swimming cap, 1 race information booklet and 3 transition bags
The athlete’s band is valid as:
- entrance ticket for the PastaParty
- entrance ticket for the transition area
- entrance ticket to the awards ceremony and banquet
Please check your start package carefully. If anything is missing, please contact the race office at once. If you have any other questions, please contact a member of the InfoPoint Team at the InfoPoint who will gladly help you.
02. TIMING
Every athlete will get a chip and a chipstrap at the bike check in. For not returning the timing chip Eur. 50,- will be charged.
03. RACE BREEFING
Being present at the race briefing is obligatory.

04. CHECK-IN
Bikes and helmets must be checked in in the transition area.
Bike Check In starts on Saturday, 19th May 2012 at 4.30pm.
The Bike Check In takes place together with handing in your transition bags (Bike/Run).
Only Athletes can enter the transition area on race day.
05. START NUMBER CHECK
The start number must be attached at its four corners to your singlet – when biking the number on the back of your singlet and when running it must be on the front. Make sure the start number and the names of the sponsors can be read easily and are not altered (safety pins will be in your starter package). The use of a start number belt is advisable only if your start number and the sponsors ‘names’ readability is not affected.
We suggest – for your own safety – that you write your name, blood group, any allergies you have, and the phone number of a person to be contacted in case of an accident on the back side of your start numbers.
06. FIRST AID
If you require first aid, please inform the nearest volunteer. Doctors will get to you immediately. Please remain where you are when you call for medical assistance.
07. MASSAGE
There are several masseurs available. The race day will not be charged.

08. BIKE CHECK-OUT
You may pick up your bike in the transition area after the race. Afterwards the transition area is unguarded and we won’t take responsibility for any loss.
09. FURTHER INFORMATION
Toilets:
We urgently ask you to use the public toilets before the start. There will be additional toilets in the transition area and on the run course.
Registering for start:
At the entrance to the start the athletes are registered via chip. If you jump over the blocks or swim to the start area you’ll not be registered and therefore disqualified.

The result lists will be available for download on our website.
10. RELAY
It is also possible to start in a team of 2 or 3. The change of the team members happens in the transition area.
